Violet

In Chinese painting, the color violet represents the harmony of the universe because it is a combination of red and blue (Yin and yang respectively).^[10]

In Green Lantern (comic book), the seven colors of the rainbow each represent their own emotion. Violet light represents love, and the lantern corp that draws power from it are the Star Sapphire. However, the light they use is closer to the web color violet rather than true violet.

In the United Kingdom it is traditional to package chocolate in violet colored packaging because of the association of the color royal purple with luxury.

Here's how my tattoo looks after tonight! Pretty neat, huh? Its a
little red and puffy, and the green will mellow out a little, not be
as dark, once it heals. In two weeks he'll color the bird and flowers.

Still no computer access at my new job, and had finished my training
exercises for the day, read two magazines and the newspaper, had
coffee, water, multiple trips to HR, etc. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be
a little bit busier! Though I'm sure soon I'll be very busy and
wishing i had time to doodle.

Illustration Friday: Tattoo

This is my friend Dina's tattoo that I drew and the tattoo artist put on her lower back. I went with her in a snowstorm to NH to get it done. Dina never drinks soda, so I knew she was in pain as she was sweating profusely and asked me for a ginger ale quick! It was worth it, it came out nice, she gets lots of compliments and always says that I designed it!

I've always loved elephants also. I think they are adorable though they are so huge, and seem to have such gentle souls. One great story, but if you're like me it will make you cry alot, is Modoc: The True Story of the Greatest Elephant That Ever Lived by Ralph Helfer.
