Violet

• In Chinese painting, the color violet represents the harmony of the universe because it is a combination of red and blue (Yin and yang respectively).^[10]

• In Green Lantern (comic book), the seven colors of the rainbow each represent their own emotion. Violet light represents love, and the lantern corp that draws power from it are the Star Sapphire. However, the light they use is closer to the web color violet rather than true violet.

• In the United Kingdom it is traditional to package chocolate in violet colored packaging because of the association of the color royal purple with luxury.

My third piece for the Climate show -

My third piece for the show at Climate/Gallery. Dropping them off today! The show, titled NEVER THINK small-Redux!, runs 4/3 - 4/25. Opening is 4/10, 6p-9p. climate/gallery 37-24 24th Street, Suite 406, Long Island City.

i really like this one. i tried to keep it a little looser, not as blended, and think it was a success.
