I made this sculpture at my Mom's studio in VT this week. Wood, found objects, paint. Its hanging in my dining room, I think I like it with the orange background... although I made it on a white wall. Happy Thanksgiving!

Flower arrangements

haven't had much time for drawing or painting, but here are a couple of arrangements i made this morning, as well as a couple of boutonnieres I made over the weekend for a wedding in Maine.

Here are some images of my work from Art New England at Bennington College in VT last week (through MassArt). Workshop: Collage to Painting: Minimal to Maximal with Josette Urso (www.josetteurso.com). It was a great week and very inspiring to work with and around so many creative artists (especially my mom!)

Tonight in class we positioned random landscape cutouts together into a collage, and with a viewfinder, picked a composition to paint from. This was actually two sketch-paintings that I joined together.

Illo Friday: Hide

Collaged Color Wheel... Fun! Magazine cutouts and sobo glue on watercolor paper. (it's a complete circle, but doesn't fit in my scanner). I may cut it out and put it on a black background.

After we did the painting from the collage installation we made, we went back and made collages working from our paintings.

Materials: calendar pictures of flowers (thanks for sending, mom), and a magazine ad with striped men's shirts, & elmer's glue (that I won at bingo on tuesday!) on illustration board.
The whole thing did not fit on the scanner, so this is just 3/4 of it...
